THANKSGIVING IS OVER AND NOW IT’S OFFICIALLY CHRISTMAS MODE!!!! And nothing makes me think of Christmas more than wearing some red and green plaid! I love it 🙂

You know what else I love? I love *NOT THINKING* about what to wear in the morning and just knowing that my outfit will look great. Can I get an AMEN??

Here is my formula for an EASY fall/winter ensemble that will look fabulous every single time:

Tunic + Vest + Skinny Jeans + Statement Necklace = PERFECTION

Literally, it’s that easy! I can’t even think of a way to make that look bad, unless your vest is too puffy or too short. Those are the only two major factors that you need to watch out for. The shape and look of a vest can affect the look of your outfit and the look of your body– positively or negatively. I recommend finding a vest that is long-ish (one that hits you at the hip or lower) if you’re going to pair it with a tunic. Longer vests also tend to be slightly more flattering, while short vests look adorable if you’re a size zero. HA. (#notasizezero #proudmombod)

Another pro-tip to make things easier: keep the vest solid and opt for a printed tunic rather than a printed vest (if you’re wanting to wear a print). Then coordinate the vest to one of the colors in your tunic. If you’re electing to wear all solid colors and no prints, then you should really try to tie the colors together with some jewelry or a scarf. (You should do this regardless of whether you’re wearing solids or prints– but it’s IMPERATIVE if you’re wearing all solids because otherwise your look is totally choppy and disjointed). I tend to lean towards jewelry with a vest instead of a scarf because the vest already adds some volume and a scarf adds MORE volume on top of that… it ends up turning this “effortless” look into quite a bit of work to keep all the volume out of your way when you’re chasing toddlers. Or maybe that’s just me 😉

NOW, because I love y’all and I want you all to look and feel like a million bucks, I have created 4 different shoppable outfits (below) so you can easily achieve this effortless ensemble for yourself!! The base pieces of each look are located on the first half of the slider (the vest, tunic, and jeans) and the accessories are on the second half of the slider (the handbag, shoes, & statement necklace). As you will see, the accessories really make the outfit. Nothing looks complete without proper accessories! Am I beating a dead horse with my accessories talk? I just can’t express this enough! OH and don’t forget that you can click on any of the images and it will take you directly to the store website where you can purchase that item. #BOOM #YoureWelcome.

After you sort through each of the outfits below, tell me which one is your favorite: Look 1, 2, 3, or 4?!

Happy Shopping!!!
